BMP is 75% owned by Gunung Sewu Group and 25% by Sumatera Holdings PTE LTD, a subsidiary of Cargill Tropical Palm PTE LTD.
BMP partnered with a highly reputable consultant in preparing JORC resources and reserve evaluation as part of our CCoW.

 

Huge Coal Deposit

BMP’s coal mine comprises of 3-blocks: Prospect I – 7,000 hectares, Prospect II – 6,000 hectares and Prospect III – 6,340 hectares.
The JORC study calculates the resources in Prospect I in the amount of 548 million ton with mineable reserves of 202 million ton.

Site

  • Our coal mining site is located in Sungai Lilin, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatera Province, Indonesia.
  • It’s about 130 km from Palembang by Lintas Timur Sumatera
  • This can be accessed from Jakarta using plane for about an hour to Palembang and by car from Palembang for about 3 hours to northeast.
  • Our jetty is located at Teluk Kemang, Musi Banyuasin, about 27 km from our mining pit.
  • The anchorage is located in Tanjung Api-api, about 120 km from our jetty, and the coal can be transported using a maximum of jumbo 320 ft barge.
  • Our facilities can accomodate up to Panamax size geared and grabbed vessel(s).
